  • Responsible for the effective coordination, operational management and quality assurance of interventions within humanitarian relief and long-term sustainable development cooperation financed by Sida, ForumCiv and Radiohjälpen.
  • My country portfolio primarily covered Sida funded projects in MENA and Africa, e.g. Syria and South Sudan, with annual budgets ranging between 15-30 million SEK.
  • Responsible for the overall relationship and engagement between IR Sweden, IR Country and Regional Offices and IRW (HQ), ensuring that the projects in my portfolio were aligned to the strategic priorities of IR Sweden as well as to Sida and the national Humanitarian Response Plans (HRPs).
  • Developed and maintained contextual expertise of the humanitarian situation as well as political, economic and social developments in assigned countries and regions.
  • Assessed new funding opportunities within the assigned portfolios and developed concept notes together with Country Offices.
  • Key focal point for dialogues between IR country offices and donors, as well as internally between departments relating to my assigned portfolio.
  • Leading the overall grant management process cycle, including dialogue and qualified support to Country Offices, throughout all steps - from project design, proposal development and setting up of cooperation agreements to budgeting, quality assurance and monitoring and reporting to donors.
  • Responsible for financial monitoring of respective grant, including identifying and addressing deviations from budget/BVA/financial report as well as from work plan and results framework, in collaboration with financial controllers.
  • Regular monitoring missions to assigned countries and external representation at various forums and working groups, such as the Swedish Network for Humanitarian Actors (SNHA).
  • Appointed to work with organisational development at the international department.

  • Participation in transport and some administration is also included in the service.
