Accomplishments

  • Co-Founder, DESTA Experience, Co-founded DESTA Experience to provide Yoga and Movement retreats for People of Color. This initiative aims to enhance diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and representation within the wellness space something we felt was missing. By creating a beginner-friendly environment, we offer retreats designed to empower People of Color across Africa and the diaspora. Successfully launched three retreats in Tanzania, attracting participants from diverse locations including Australia, Canada, Germany, Kenya UK and the US.
  • Wellbeing coordinator, DIS Studyabroad, As the first Wellbeing Coordinator at DIS Study Abroad, I launched a comprehensive wellness initiative for American exchange students. My role encompassed introducing and integrating mental, social, and physical wellness practices tailored to enhance student wellbeing. I focused on equipping students with effective strategies to manage stress, thereby promoting a balanced and supportive academic and personal experience during their time abroad.
