Personal Projects
- BlitzPad ( Interactive taekwondo training pads):
A training game device with 3 pads with pressure sensors, made from velostat sheets(piezo-resistive) connected to esp32 NodeMCU that counts the total strikes on the pads when the LED strip on a randomly selected pad is lit up. the total score in 2 mins is uploaded to google cloud and displayed on leaderboard on a webpage created using firebase.
Status: Prototype ready
- FallSense(Cost and power efficient fall detection device):
A device that uses minimalistic design for cost and power efficient fall detection module for medical teams to assist patients with memory impairment and other relevant health issues. The device uses FreeRTOS and has 2 modules: a pressure pad module on the shoe sole to predict a possible fall, using a fall prediction algorithm based on changes in the pressure under the feet, and an accelerometer/gyroscope module on the hip that is activated by the pressure module only when fall is predicted to collect data and send it to an online device-management portal that signals the respective medical team assigned to the device.
Status: Pre-study complete with requirement analysis
