Key Qualifications:
Significant Achievements:
Phd. in Electrical engineering by University of Aveiro with specialization in optical networks.
During this PhD I modeled a new type of optical performance monitor, with state of the art performance leading to a patent and a publication in Optics Express.
I was also involved in an internship in NICT in Tokyo, Japan, under the leadership of Dr. Ruben Luis and Dr. Ben Putnam, working in an experimental implementation of a all-optical polarizer based on four-wave mixing.
I am Senior Member of Optical Publishing Group (formerly Optical Society of America)
I am Executive Committee Member of the Fiber Optical and Technology and Applications group of Optica Publishing Group.
