  • Supported the Rainforest Alliance farmer and supply chain actors’ members in keeping their agricultural products traceable, reporting sales, and handling their queries in alignment with the customer success team, following the related organization’s process and procedures.
  • Represented Rainforest Alliance in different events/conferences, both national and regional. In the same regard, I stood as Rainforest Alliance ambassador in East Africa, liaising with governments, NGOs and sector holders about information and project implementation.
  • Participated in national platforms, conferences, meetings on sustainable agriculture
  • Managed gender development project for a group of 250 women.

  • I managed various projects related to the Sustainable Agriculture by managing funds from various donors for projects implementation in Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo and Malawi.
  • I conducted an environmental Assessment for two different projects, on in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, jointly implemented by Twin and Hivos and completed another assessment jointly with Agro-Eco Uganda in Ghana under the funding of Solidaridad.
  • I trained farmers and agronomists on good agriculture practices (GAPs), set up Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) demonstration plots, and coordinated agroforestry project for integrated farming systems.
  • I collected the project data, analyzed them for monitoring, evaluation and learning, and communicated the results internally for informed project decision-making.
  • Further to projects budgets management and administration, I reported narratively every quarter on the project progress.
  • I trained and coached the farmers and agronomists from partners to get certified various sustainability standards (Rainforest Alliance,Utz Fairtrade, organic and CAFE Practices).
  • I trained and set up good agriculture demonstration plots and agroforestry for a woman cooperative in DRC funded by Zensho (Japanese coffee buyer).
  • I also managed the mini-project funded by Fairtrade UK Foundation and provided technical assistance to the implementer for the smart agriculture practices in Western Uganda.
  • I set up good agriculture practices and farmer field schools in the same scope and reported to Belgian Technical Corporation (BTC), which funded another project in Western Uganda.
  • I attended international and national platforms conferences regarding sustainable agriculture, representing Twin.

I looked after cooperatives operations and fostered cooperatives formation. Furthermore, in this role, I served as forest manager to ensure the forests were well managed, and in the same scope, I issued the forest harvesting permits to the farmers after the field visit. Besides that, I oversaw the crop intensification programme and ensured the farmers understood and implemented it. Furthermore, I confirmed that every piece of land is registered and issued the land titles to farmers. Lastly, I promoted the integrated farming system, where I worked closely with the farmers to ensure that they understood and implemented agroforestry in their farms and other good agriculture practices to increase yields.
