Research

  • I have completed my PhD under supervision of Prof (Dr.) Chinmay Kumar Maiti with thesis entitled “Design and Simulation of Silicon Nanowire Transistor at the scaling Limit” from August 2016 to October 2020. The requirement of small devices for different applications are in demand. Although the downscaling has enhanced the device performance, it has brought a host of issues that have become extremely relevant with every generation of the technological node. Design along with different issues at the scaling limit are investigated for 5nm devices. Though 7nm FinFET devices has been used in android mobile. The proliferation of Technology Computer-Aided Design (TCAD) tools have a significant economic impact on the product development. In fact, an effective use of TCAD tools saves much experiment time for calibrating the process and device parameters and minimizes the number of trial-and-error iterations. So TCAD tool (MINIMOS-NT) has been used for the design and simulation of the device. The best electrostatic control of the gate over the channel can be achieved only when it can be controlled from all sides of the channel. So, Gate-all-around (GAA) nanowire transistors are now considered to be the most suitable and feasible alternative structures for ongoing rapid scaling even below 7nm technology node. So it is designed using TCAD (MINIMOS-NT). Geometrical variation (such as gate length, nanowire diameter) has been carried out to get an optimal performance of the nanowire. Besides that the performance of the nanowire has been improved through design of stressor (changing the material of source and drain extension region). The impact of orientation and size of grain in the metal gate on designed nanowire performance has been investigated.. The impact of discrete dopants in different position of the designed nanowire on the performance metrics has been examined. The reliability analysis of the designed nanowire has been carried out.
  • The total annual production of synthetic dye is more than 7 × 105 tons. Annually, through only textile waste effluents, around one thousand tons of non-biodegradable textile dyes are discharged into natural streams and water bodies. Therefore, with growing environmental concerns and environmental awareness there is a need for the removal of dyes from local and industrial water effluents with a cost effective technology. Our motivation is to remove the dye from the dye solution using suitable photo-catalyst and reuse the solution after degrading the dye.
  • Synthesis of LDH (Layered Double Hydroxide) based carbon quantum Dot with different carbon precursors such as kitchen sugar, Sucrose, Citric Acid and Ascorbic Acid
  • Characterization OF LDH (through TEM, FESEM, XRD, RAMAN,BET surface Area, Photoluminescence(PL))
  • LDH has been used as photo catalyst for the degradation of industrial dye as well as conventional dyes.
  • Raspberry pi with accessories has been used as color sensor through Python programming.
  • Color sensor has been used for the detection of dye color using python program.
  • Machine learning has been used for detection of dye degradation in a reactor.
  • Spectrum of the dye solution has been obtained through Deep learning from which we can know the dye degradation.
