Work History

CI/CD Engineer

Volvo Group
01.2024 - Current

The project is mainly focused on Driver User Experience and Interface (DUXI). The team is responsible for the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) of the software for the instrument cluster, which is delivered by both the platform and application teams. In addition to CI/CD, the team also manages software release activities, ensuring that each release is stable, well-coordinated, and delivered on time for both VP and GFX.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the deployment process, ensuring that releases are executed according to plan, and monitor for any issues during deployment.
  • Designed, developed, and maintained Jenkins pipelines (Declarative and Scripted) for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
  • Created and optimized CI/CD pipelines integrating multiple services and repositories delivered by platform and application development teams.
  • Automated build and deployment processes using Bash, Python, and Groovy scripts.
  • Managed containerized Jenkins agents, shared libraries, and pipeline templates for consistent team delivery.
  • Monitored and troubleshooted build failures, infrastructure issues, and release blockers to ensure smooth delivery cycles.

Cyber Security and Defense Engineer

Volvo Group
2023 - 12.2023

In this project, I supported the Security Operations Center (SOC) by enabling real-time data monitoring and collecting log data from multiple sources. I indexed and managed the data in Splunk, providing advanced search, analysis, and correlation capabilities to help SOC analysts detect anomalies and potential security threats.

Responsibilities:

  • Real-Time Monitoring: We integrate with Security Operation Center SOCs team to monitor data in real time, which is essential for the early detection of potential security incidents.
  • Data Analysis: We also provide advanced search, analysis, and correlation features that help SOC analysts make sense of the data and identify differences that may indicate a security threat.
  • Threat Management: By using Splunk, we enhance threat detection and response with integrated intelligence feeds and real-time alerts.
  • Alerting and Reporting: We generate alerts in Splunk based on predefined conditions and provide comprehensive reporting capabilities, which are necessary for SOC operations.
  • Incident Investigation: In the case of a security incident, we utilize Splunk to perform forensic analysis and help in the investigation process.
  • Dashboards and Visualization: We create customizable dashboard in Splunk that help to monitor security metrics and KPIs effectively.

Configuration / Release Manager

Tata Group
01.2020 - 01.2023

In this project, the main task of team is to analyze Jenkins' nightly build logs to identify which software versions are deployed to various system applications, each with its own fault codes list. When a project fails during the nightly build, I troubleshoot the fault codes specific to that project. After diagnosing the issues, I collaborated with the Product Owner or Project Manager to develop and implement patches to resolve the faults.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience in analyzing the logs from Jenkins that which SW goes to the required system application i.e. different types of products have different SW where each product has its own Fault codes list. If any project failed in the Nightly build logs, then I troubleshoot “Fault codes” for a particular project based on the everyday “Jenkins Nightly builds”.
  • After troubleshooting the fault codes, I connect with the Product-owner/Project Manager to fix the patch for the particular project.
  • To archive the software release version, I have generated comprehensive documentation for future reference in confluence (i.e. software release name, Build ID, status of release, archived software packages path, release review etc.)
  • The SW needs to be delivered in the .xml file format with the Engineering tool, ATI vision format and the ODX files (for Diagnostics)
  • Hands on the OTA framework libraries using the IP address to turn on & off LED on the ESP embedded boards using the Arduino IDE platform.

Build & Release Manager

Tata Group
01.2016 - 01.2020

In this role, I managed build and release pipelines and performed Dry-Run tests to validate code before production. I resolved SQL Server connection issues during incremental deployments and coordinated effectively with cross-functional teams during Scrum events. I worked with Product Owners to refine requirements, prioritize user stories, and maintain a well-groomed backlog. Throughout the project, I applied end-to-end SDLC practices, delivered tailored solutions, and supported successful software and hardware installation and integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborated with development and system analysis teams, establishing build schedules, providing deployment guidelines, and addressing system failures for successful release cycles via Jenkins.
  • Gathered client prerequisites and implemented necessary security measures for existing applications, ensuring data integrity and protection.
  • Managed builds and release pipelines, utilizing SPN for secure CI/CD implementation. Conducted Dry-Run Tests to ensure code execution before production and resolved SQL Server connection issues during incremental deployments.
  • Facilitated collaboration between cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment during Scrum events for enhanced project progress.
  • Worked closely with Product Owners to gather requirements, prioritize user stories, and maintain a well-groomed backlog, promoting efficient development cycles.
  • Employed end-to-end SDLC methodologies, assessed business needs, delivered tailored solutions, and provided guidance to ensure optimal installation of software and hardware systems meeting client requirements.

Front-end Developer

Tata Group
01.2015 - 2016

In this project, I was responsible for application development, successfully creating applications such as a Task Manager System and a Data Migration tool. I maintained regular communication with clients to understand their project requirements, with a particular focus on designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces. I enhanced project platforms by utilizing Java and developed engaging user interfaces using frameworks like Angular and Bootstrap.

Responsibilities:

  • Application Development: Successfully created applications, including a Task Manager System and Data Migration project.
  • Regularly communicated with clients to fully grasp project requirements, particularly focused on user interface design.
  • Improved project platforms using Java and developed engaging User Interfaces within frameworks like Angular and Bootstrap.
  • Designed application UIs using emerging Front-End technologies such as HTML, CSS, Java, and JavaScript.
  • Evaluated existing interfaces, identified pain points, and implemented design changes to enhance user experience.
