Historical re-enactment

My real passion is history. It is specifically about the social aspects of ordinary peoples' life. Therefore I joined the historical re-enactment group - 4th Infantry Regiment of Grand Duchy of Warsaw (Pułk 4-ty Piechoty Księstwa Warszawskiego). My interest lies in experiencing the everyday life of people (soldiers and civil) in a period of XVIII and XIX centuries. Me and my friends from the historical group, we explore many various places connected with napoleonic era within Europe. Our camps are located in the fields, in the forests and other historical fortifications. This experience leads to the conclusion that life of people living some 200 hundred years ago was very much connected with nature. Nature became to me a sort of bond between the presence and the past. I admire the outdoor adventures by using contemporary equipment. I practice it with my friends and family during weekends and vacation.
