“Botswana - In The Footsteps Of The No. 1 Ladies Detective With Alexander McCall Smith”

MY BOTSWANA ACHIEVEMENTS SINCE 2006:

In 2006:

I did my first trip to Botswana as a photojournalist with assignments from leading magazines like “Dagens Industri” (a business magazine), “M- Magazine” and “Svenska Dagbladet”.

Since then I have been promoting tourism in Botswana for the scandinavian travellers with my travelling reportages.

In 2007:

I produced the international tv- documentary

It was broadcasted in US, Australia, UK, Scandinavia, Germany. It promoted Botswana tourism in the very best way for millions of viewers.

In 2008:

I produced the documentary “Treatment and Hope” about ACHAP in Botswana. I worked with Merc and Gates Foundation. Interviews were made by me with former president Festus Mogae and many other leading persons.

IN 2009:

Editor and photographer for ”The Mma Ramotswe Cookbook”

IN 2011:

I was chosen to cover the Swedish Statevisit to Botswana for BOTSFA (Botswana Sweden Friendship Association).

IN 2014:

I founded “Tennis4SOS” together with former ambassador for Botswana in Sweden - Mr Lameck Nthekela. It’s a sport tennis development program for the orphans at SOS Children’s Villages. It’s been a true success program including regular training for the kids, 6 training trips for the children to Sweden and France. The program has also attracted a lot of awareness, good PR and stronger relations between Botswana and Sweden. Some of the best tennis players in the world has chosen to support us.

I keep on working with the program in Maun and Gaborone.

IN 2016:

5 years before Botswana’s 50 years Independence celebration I initiated to start to work on the book “Botswana - Sweden - 50 years of Partnership”.

I formed an editorial team of 5 people to compile the book. It covered all the projects with texts and photos that’s been going on between Botswana and Sweden since 1966-2016. The book was very well received.

BETWEEN 2016-2025:

- I started an art and tree planting school for SOS Children’s Villages.

- I been collaborating with Sir Alexander McCall Smith on the following:

1. Exclusive Reading safari/ cultural trips for international guests.

2. I been producing a 10 day trip for the creative team from Broadway / London working with the upcoming musical “The No.1 Ladies Detective - The Musical”.

BTO, HATAB and Wilderness all collaborated with us.

This year starting a tennis program with Bana Ba Letsatsi orphanage in Maun.

3. Founded four awards in Botswana in 2024
