Marina works with digital mobilisation and fundraising, as a strategist, coordinator and multimedia creative for decolonial and climate justice groups, as well as for artists. Her experiences as a Social Media Coordinator, Theatre Producer Assistant, Art Director and Community Organiser have given her a profound understanding of teamwork building, cross-cultural and transnational collaborations. She is proficient at meeting tight deadlines while creating an inclusive, equal, and positive work atmosphere.
As a multi-media artist, Marina has been able to communicate some of our time's most significant issues, such as human rights and the climate emergency, through writing, photography, graphic design and illustrations. Her well outlined strategies and strong narratives have engaged broad audiences via digital communications, also securing fundraising opportunities. She has especially worked with NVDA within climate justice spaces, for zero-tolerance of multiple oppressions and facilitated space, strategies and activities to create solidarity and allayship across grassroots groups and NGOs.
In 2018, Marina graduated BA English with Creative Writing at Brunel University, focusing on Black feminism and screenwriting. In 2019, she graduated from MA Comparative Literature at UCL, researching gender, affect, "exclusionary processes" and "the western spectatorship" in refugee narratives. Marina is currently studying MSc Climate Justice (part-time and online) at Glasgow Caledonian University.
