I started working at Snälltåget as a conductor. My responsibilities included ticket inspection, providing passenger information, and serving customers in the restaurant car. Six months later, I was promoted to train manager, responsible for safety on board the train. Since then, I have progressed to become an instructor, responsible for maintaining the skills of my colleagues and training new employees in safety and service. Depending on my duties for the day, the job involves many different tasks, some of which are:
- Ensuring the train is in working order and carrying out safety checks before each departure
- Informing passengers about delays and other traffic disruptions.
- Supervising my colleagues on board and coordinating with the traffic control centre.
- Ensuring that passengers have the best possible journey.

- Ensuring that vehicles to be used are safety checked and ready.
- Ensuring that the on-board service and catering provide a great experience.
At the Swedish Transport Administration, I am responsible for our operational train traffic, which is used for inspections, testing and transporting materials. I am also responsible for recruiting new staff and applying for new timetables to ensure that trains can travel from point A to point B.

I also liaised with other guides and bus drivers regarding visits to various locations. Depending on the destination and the size of the group, the job had many different aspects, but some of the responsibilities were:
