Client: Majid Al Futtaim (MAF)

The largest shopping mall in the Sultanate of Oman offering over 350 stores across 140,000sqm of gross leasable area including a 14,000sqm indoor Snowpark, VOX cinemas, Magic planet family entertainment center as well as 9000 sqm carrefour hypermarket and 5700 parking space.

Duties :

• Study and review contract documents, drawings, BOQ, specifications and monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, and QA/QC policies.
• Review with Engineering manager the engineering Logs to provide accurate delivery dates and ensure they are updated on daily basis and the information presented to the consultant /client within the weekly reports are realistic and reflect the actual status of the Engineering.
• Maintain accurate records of drawing issue sheets, reference drawing numbers & title block, handle the different versions of the drawings and ensure being controlled in a sequential reference environment.
• Liaise with the commercial team to highlight any difference between the Issued for construction drawings & Tender drawings and assist for the updating of the project change trackers on weekly basis to ensure that all design changes in reference to RFIs reply, comments on drawings and design changes received from the consultant /client have been considered for any cost impact.
• Issue Request For Information (RFI) for discrepancies in the project documents and arrange for workshop meetings with the consultant/client to ensure all issues are addressed in a timely manner, and that project requirements are met.
• Ensure that all RFIs replies have been reflected on the construction drawings and the site team are informed and working based on the latest drawings.
• Review Subcontractor's shop drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and contract agreements by checking them for technical accuracy according to accepted guidelines.
• Coordinate with all other disciplines to produce coordinated drawings for construction.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure their delivery of the required engineering submittals as planned.
• Issue various in-house architectural shop drawings, verify structural and MEP drawings with architectural elements and coordinate with subcontractors the different interfaces and submission of drawings for multiple disciplines, including but not limited to the following: Steel structural elements, external facade cladding (timber and stone cladding, EIFS, standing seam, Trespa, curtain walls, aluminum cladding panels and coping), elevators, escalators, louvers, doors (Metal, timber & glazed), stone flooring layouts, drywalls, expansion joint covers and details, glass balustrade and railings, washroom layouts and sanitary ware, prayer rooms, Reflected ceiling layouts and various types of ceilings such as Bamboo and Mashrabiya, Food court furniture details, Roof layout and waterproofing, cinema related works and activities, carpark details and finishes, facade signage
• Solely managed the Engineering for Mall of Oman external work package, proposed cost and time effective design & material changes which eventually led to the completion of the first milestone ahead of schedule and handled the submission of layout and typical detail shop drawings for various activities including retaining walls, roads, drain channels, wet and dry utilities with associated manholes and valve chambers.

Project : Al-Amerat Wastewater Project - Contract A3 (AWP)

Client: Haya Water

The project comprises the construction of sewer network along with telecommunication ducting network and treated sewer effluent network with associated valve chambers.

Duties:

• Distribute the engineering workload and assign tasks within the department.
• Prepare engineering drawing register and organize proper tracking of shop drawings.
• Oversee design progress against schedule and budget.
• Direct the implementation of engineering systems. standards and procedures and maintain record keeping of documents.
• Lead the submission of shop drawings and As-Built drawings throughout the life cycle of the project.
• Liaise with the Engineer to develop technical solutions and corrective measures for issues arise on site during execution of works.

Project : Bausher Wastewater Network Project Contract No. B4 Qurum & Illam (BWN)

Project’s Cost: US$ 69,430,000.00/-

Client: Haya Water

The project consists mainly of the construction of 110 kilometers of sewers network with diameters ranges from 150mm to 700mm along with

telecommunication ducting network, 19 lifting and pumping stations with associated rising mains, 10 kilometers of pressurized treated sewer effluent TSE network and 500 meters of storm water channel.

Duties:

• Supervise and coordinate the construction of lifting & pumping stations and other concrete works including valves chambers and flow meters.
• Supervise the execution of non-destructive road crossings using micro-tunneling method.
• Study and propose construction methods for execution of works in efficient manners.
• Prepare working drawings and methods statements.
• Coordinate the commissioning and handing over activities of the Project.
• Plan and coordinate manpower, equipment and material supply towards successful completion of the assigned works on schedule & within budget.
• Ensure proper implementation of HSE measures on site.

Project : A’ Seeb Sewage Collection and Conveyance

System – Contract 5B. (ASCS)

Client: Haya Water

Project’s Cost: US$ 165,040,000.00/-

The project comprises the construction of 500 kilometers of sewer network and accompanying fiber optic ducts with all associated manholes and chambers. It includes also the construction of 50 kilometers of pressurized transmission and distribution treated sewer effluent TSE network with all associated valves and flowmeters.

Duties :

• Supervise the construction functions of the project which includes earthworks, pipe laying, dewatering, shoring works, concrete works for manholes and valve chambers.
• Review method statements for execution of works in efficient manner.
• Liaise with the Engineer to develop technical solutions for on-site problems occurred during execution.
• Check and analyse shop drawings to determine specific work requirements and prepare sketches for the guidance of workers.
• Prepare enquires, order documents, regular reports at area of responsibility to ensure availability of resources throughout each stage of the project.
• Plan, arrange, coordinate and follow up on project activities and deliverables relating to procurement.
• Ensure proper implementation of HSE measures on site.
