This is an Australian company that sells ERP systems (fully integrated computer systems) and wants to expand into the UK. I am personal friends with the two owners of the company and have opened up the market for them in the UK through establishing partnerships, as well as direct sales. This is a heavily technical role.
Olearys probably needs no introduction, as it's Sweden's largest sports and restaurant bar franchise chain.
What a lot of people don't know is that it also operates in ten or more other countries. My role was twofold.
Firstly, to find new franchisees in existing markets, and secondly, to open new markets.
After my 2-year contract at Scoopon, this is when my Swedish wife and, at that time, 2 children moved to Sweden. For an example a 2 night getway with breakfast both morning, dinner one night and a strecthed limousine winery tour or a whale watching cuise or jo flight etc depending on the location
This quickly grew into offering sevices like restaunts etc and then included goods throufh a dropshippng service dierctly from china. I managed this for just over 10 years were selling our international tavel destinations to over 15 countries. This is actallu how i met my Swedish wife who started work for us back in 2006 whe we started selling travel deals to scandanvian cutomers.
In addition to the Daily Deals we also aquired direct expirece business that we also sold inhouse whihc included a 87 room holiday resort in Phuket Thailand, 3 Large Catamraans Consiiting of 3 restuarnats and 4 bars Spa, Travel and Info

After 10 years of perating we had a large opt in database so they offered to aquire us so as to have a ast market entry. Wecaregreed on the sale whihc included me working with them for 2 years however this excluded the Hotel and cruise shios business.

My role was to contact companies to sell our services to get job vacancies, then organize advertising, take interviews, and present the top three candidates, as well as headhunt specific candidates identified by competitor companies.
Alcatel sold photocopiers, fax machines, printers, and other office equipment. This was my first sales job, and it was a hardcore training ground for direct sales.
