The KVD Group consists of Kvdbil – Sweden's largest digital player with used cars; Forsbergs - Sweden's largest dealer of motorhomes and caravans, the car valuation companies Bilpriser and Kvdpro, which mediates machines and heavy vehicles in Sweden and the rest of the world.
· Designed and implemented robust Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines to efficiently ingest structured data from internal ERP systems (Kastor, Pollux, Evergreen, Planacy) into a centralized Data Lake, facilitating the transfer of raw data and orchestrating data workflows for streamlined processing.
· Developed SQL views in Azure SQL Database to define and encapsulate business logic in the curated layer, leveraging stored procedures to transform and load data into curated tables. Applied a star schema for optimal querying and reporting performance.
· Implemented incremental loading techniques to enhance the performance of data pipelines, reducing unnecessary data processing and significantly improving data refresh times.
· Developed Azure Functions in Python to automate the extraction of data from external APIs (Verendas, Bisnode), integrating these functions into ADF pipelines to streamline data ingestion and reduce manual effort.
· Designed and implemented Logic Apps workflows to automate business processes, including the synchronization of master data between OneDrive and Azure SQL Database, improving operational efficiency and minimizing errors in data updates
· Utilized CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps to automate the build, release, and deployment of ADF workflows, ensuring consistent, reliable, and scalable data integration across development, testing, and production environments.
· Managed version control with Git(Azure Repos), implementing effective branching strategies and conducting code reviews to maintain high code quality and consistency.
· Contributed to the development of the tabular model using Azure Analysis Services to analyze Forsberg Company’s sales performance, optimizing analytical insights.
· Automated the Azure Analysis Services tabular model refresh process using ADF pipelines, enhancing real-time data availability for reporting and analytics, and significantly reducing the need for manual intervention in data management.
· Proactively monitored ADF pipelines through Azure Monitor, identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks to improve resource usage and processing times.
· Utilized ADF Monitoring and Alerts to provide real-time visibility into pipeline health, enabling rapid identification and resolution of performance issues, minimizing downtime.
· Worked closely with stakeholders to implement data governance policies, including data quality checks and validation within ADF pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and reliability for decision-making.
· Applied data lifecycle management in Azure Blob Storage, automating data retention and archival processes to ensure compliance while reducing manual data management overhead.
