Session President and Head Organiser

I was active in the European Youth Parliament (EYP) for many years while I attended school in Gothenburg, Sweden. I had many roles, from Delegate to Session President.


As Session President:

  • Personally organised and structured the session and directed all the session's participants; 120 students divided into 8 delegations, 16 Chair-people, 2 Vice-presidents, and an organiser team of 15 people.
  • Performed Chair and Vice-President training sessions to optimise understanding of the EU organisation and the session ahead.
  • Wrote and prepared the Topic Overview for each committee.
  • Facilitated discussion of highly advanced and politically polarising topics and supported the delegates to create and present creative and forward-thinking resolutions.
  • Provided the final edit of the session's Resolution Booklet.
  • Followed EU committee work and General Assembly procedure.


As Head Organiser:

  • Worked closely with the President to create a successful Session to the standard of the EYP organisation.
  • Managed event coordination such as scheduling, venue set up, team building, and coordination.
  • Recruited and led the broader organiser team.
  • Liaised with the school, teachers, and students to get permissions, book rooms, and ensure support.
