Välkommen till Värmdö (VtV) is a volunteer organization based in Värmdö kommun focusing on integration and inclusion. VtV started as a community helping new refugees in Sweden providing recycled furniture for the new homes. VtV has today 5000 members and have managed a large number of projects and activities, in collaboration with Värmdö municipality, other organizations and independently. VtV is the major integration and inclusion platform in Värmdö. VtV has since the start had a lnumber of employees, who all started while they were still newly arrived, and have moved on from VtV to other employers thanks to their first employment in VtV.

I founded the organization in January 2017 and have since then been chair of the board, leading the organization through a pandemic and drastic change in migration and integration politics.

Housing Coordinator SHIS, Housing Guidance

  • Responsible for housing guidance as well as responsible for relations with SHIS (Stiftelsen Hotellhem i Stockholm).
  • Developed structures and systems for certain housing contracts that spread all over Stockholms stad.
  • Responsible for supporting social secretaries and social guidance councilors regarding all housing matters,
  • Managed and planned all housing guidance throughout the whole municipal administration.
  • Managed the social guidance division as well as recruited and managed the introduction of new co-workers.
  • Responsible for recruiting and tutoring the women with refugee background working as "Stadsdelsmammor" guiding women that have recently arrived in Sweden.
  • Prepared quarterly reports on housing development within Skarpnäck for review by senior management staff.
  • Streamlined housing processes for increased efficiency and reduced wait times for applicants and social secretaries.
  • Developed and delivered training programs for social secretaries and co-workers all over Stockholm, ensuring a consistent level of knowledge and expertise among staff.
  • Initiated cooperation with Gothenburg and Malmoe within the methodology for housing guidance.

  • The project was financed by Länsstyrelsen, and was the largest in Stockholm with a budget of 4 MSEK for 18 months including three of Stockholm's districts named "Enhanced housing guidance for new arrivals in Sweden" and was a method development project.
  • The methods and the results of the project was widely spread all over Stockholm as well as over other major cities in Sweden.
  • Met the project deadlines without sacrificing build quality or workplace safety. Even though the pandemic forced major changes to the already planned activities and approaches.
  • Established effective communication among team members although they were spread over several different city districts, for enhanced collaboration and successful project completion.

  • Diversity Group's core was diversity and inclusion (D&I, later on Diversity, Equality and Inclusion, DEI) through delivering training, recruitment and consultancy services. We delivered project management, change management, training, process management and support as well as support within HR.
  • Focused on our clients' added business value in combination with the support system in the Swedish society.
  • Developed strong partnerships with other businesses to allow for collaboration and more significant opportunities for growth.
  • Established a successful business by identifying market needs and developing innovative solutions. In 2007 the D&I industry in Sweden was almost non existant.
  • The client base was a broad variety consisting of cities, unions, public service, private small and medium enterprises, Swedish as well as international , universities and the culture industry.
  • I was acting CEO and senior consultant working directly with our clients. As CEO I built a positive organizational culture that fostered creativity, innovation, and employee engagement, as well as oversaw financial management activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring for improved financial stability.
